Can children play mini-games against each other online with this application ?
No currently there is no online interaction. Children can practise against the built-in engine. Tutors can share their screen and ask for students to suggest moves and make those moves in the application on their behalf.
Is this a subscription model ?
No there is a one time charge which entitles you to run the application on a single computer.
What is included in the price ?
Purchasing any edition will provide you a download of the application and a licence key to unlock either Student, Classroom or Tutor edition.
Are updates to the application included ?
Yes updates and new versions will automatically be installed and are included in the license cost.
Will this work on a mobile or tablet device ?
This is a Java application designed to run on a desktop / laptop computer running Windows, MacOS or Linux. There is no Android or iOS mobile app at this time.
Will this run on a Chromebook ?
No. Acorn Chess supports Windows, MacOS and Linux. It will not run on a Chromebook.
